"Scene Tales" is a four-hand and two-head work... besides other parts of the body, all involved with the creation of Comics, Panels and illustrations of proud queer Humor; with that vicious, politically incorrect twist, of course, just the way humor is supposed to be. Portraying this community is no easy task though, and our main goal is have people laugh with queers, and not at queers, as it seems to be the rule everywhere. Lots of the fun-making that we see get trapped on the subtle line of prejudice.

But let's face it: QUEERS ARE FUNNY. And creating our 'Scene Tales' has been a delicious celebration of the queer scene's kick-ass diversity. And if by chance you spot yourself as one of our characters, be aware: it's no plain coincidence!!

Sergio Toy was born in 71 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and fell in love with comics before he could even read'em (drew his first books aged 8!). Then spent his teens playing in bands of his rock'n'rolling neighborhood; traveled the world on a shoestring and eventually got a degree in economics at the University of Sao Paulo. It was there that he got back into cartooning, publishing the hilarious tranny Dolly Doll for the first time on the until-then-righteous newsletter of the students' office. Years later, with partner Klaus Novais, that old seed flourished and gave birth to many other characters that are his greatest mania these days. He does storylines, penciling, text, lettering and translations of SCENE TALES.

Klaus Novais was too born in São Paulo, in 69. In his teens studied drawing with super-master Diamantino Silva, one of the first-ever cartoonists in Brazil. Took a course in publicity drawing in 87 and had his first exhibit of canvases along-with and based-on that year's production of the play HAIR. From then on, he fell head-deep into the theater scene, where he acted, directed, designed settings, light, banners and costumes for a great many productions. In the last few years, he has focused more on graphic arts, painting canvases and doing the SCENE TALES series with partner Sergio Toy. He does storylines, penciling, inking, text and coloring.
